The first DC source can output up to 2 A DC and is used for injecting current into the transformer\u2019s high-voltage winding. The second DC source can output up to 10 A DC and is used for testing the transformer\u2019s low-voltage winding. This is especially useful when measuring the winding resistance of distribution transformers. These transformers have a large turns ratio and therefore a big difference between resistances of high voltage and low voltage windings. Upon the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dv-power.com\/product\/winding-resistance-meters\/\">winding resistance test<\/a>, it is also possible to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dv-power.com\/product\/transformer-demagnetizer\/demagnetizer-dem\/\">demagnetize the transformer core<\/a>.
